Tuwo Recipe
Tuwo is a northern Nigerian fufu recipe. Preparation is made easy with Ola Ola Products Try any of the delicious varieties… rice, yam, corn or plantain flour. It is usually served with Northern Nigerian soups.

3 Cups/600 grams of Tuwo

Cooking pot

4 Cups water

Wooden spatula or mixer

Preparation:
​
1. Bring water to boil
2. Sprinkle Tuwo flour into the boiling water. Stir the ensuing dough until your desired texture is obtained.
3. Sprinkle about ¼ cup of water on the dough.
4. Turn heat to low, cover pot and allow dough to simmer (about 5 minutes).
5. Knead dough thoroughly with the wooden spatula to desired smoothness.
6. Shape into a ball and serve with any Nigerian soup.
Jollof Rice Recipe
As a popular and spicy West African chicken and rice dish. ​There are many variations of Jollof Rice. The most common basic ingredients are: rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, salt and red pepper. Beyond that, nearly any kind of meat, fish, vegetable, or spice can be added.

1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
(stew meat can be used instead)

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 or 3 ripe tomatoes chopped

1/2 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper (to taste)

Optional add-in seasonings, to taste(Thyme, Garlic, Chile Pepper, Ginger, Cinnamon, Curry Powder)

2 cups broth (chicken, beef or vegetable)

2 cups water
-
4 cup cooked rice
-
Optional chopped vegetable add-ins
(sweet green pepper, green beans, green peas, carrots, cabbage

Garnishes (chopped parsley or cilantro, shredded lettuce, sliced hard boiled egg)
